This is a personal post unlike my others. This year I have set myself a personal development goal of doing at least one thing outside of my comfort zone every month. So far I have taken part in Nike Women’s week, joined the Wednesday night Nike running club, taken part in Sky Sports Living for Sports day (with 300+ kids) and done karaoke for the first time!
So for my long term goal (and Octobers challenge) I have signed up to take part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on the 9th October 2016. Being an absolute beginner, I figured I would need the 6 months to give it my best shot.
I am running for Mind – the mental health charity. Mental health is a cause close to my heart and sport/exercise keeps me sane so I am proud to be running for a cause that changes and saves peoples lives everyday. My Target is to raise £350 but the more I can raise the better.
